
Research engineer in space instrumentation (dnr: 2.2.1-14/25)
Within the Solar System Physics and Space Technology research program we explore the solar system. The group consists of scientists and engineers with different specialist skills who work together to develop and deliver space instruments for national and international scientific satellites. The projects are usually carried out together with ESA, NASA and other major space agencies. Job description
We are seeking an engineer who will primarily work with:
• Project management.
• Project work.
• Technical practical work with testing and qualifications.
• Technical documentation.
You will mainly work independently with project responsibility for hardware integration and testing. The position involves international collaborations, so it is important that you can express yourself well in English, both spoken and written. Business travel may occur.
You should have an interest in both hardware, technical documentation and project management. You will become part of IRF's experienced team of engineers. You will be a resource for other projects within project management, production and quality control, and technical documentation.
The position involves technical practical work, such as integration, management, and testing of space hardware. Therefore, it is essential that work is carried out meticulously and thoroughly.
Qualifications
An engineering education at university level, or other technical education with additional professional experience, is required. You have the following knowledge:
- Basic project management.
- Basic project work in mechanics and systems engineering.
The work places high demand on independence, accuracy, initiative and the ability to solve problems in many technical areas. Ability to collaborate within the work group as well as with external parties is a requirement. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
