The British Ambassador Judith Gough visited IRF

On September 7, the British Ambassador Judith Gough visited the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF) and the other space actors at Space Campus.

The ambassador was welcomed by Olle Norberg, Director of IRF and Stas Barabash, professor at IRF who talked about the institute’s activities and presented IRF’s calibration and integration laboratory.

Rene Laufer, professor at Luleå University of Technology (LTU) talked about various space educations and Craig Heinselman, Director of Eiscat Scientific Association gave examples of academic collaborations in the space area between UK and Sweden. The ambassador also got to meet students from LTU’s space educations and see research facilities and visit EISCAT’s radar antenna in Kiruna.
